That being said, a Dentist from our practice is on call during non-business hours and weekends in case of a dental emergency.

Geoff is the founder of Utterback Dental Group, Inc. Although Dr. Utterback has continued to practice general dentistry throughout his nearly 40 year career, his areas of special interest are dental implants and third molar surgery.
An Alliance, Ohio native, Dr. Utterback earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Union College in 1969 followed by his D.D.S. from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 1973. After graduating from dental school, Geoff served as a Dentist in the Navy and was stationed at Camp Lejune Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, North Carolina for two years. He returned to Alliance where he was a partner in private practice prior to establishing Utterback Dental Group, Inc. in 1983. A second office was opened in Canton in 1995 to better serve the practice’s growing patient population. Since its establishment, Utterback Dental Group, Inc. has grown to five Board Certified Dentists with more than one hundred years of combined professional experience.
Dr. Utterback is a member of the Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association, Stark County Dental Society, The Pierre Fauchard Academy, and is also an Adjunct Faculty member at Stark State University. He currently resides in North Canton, Ohio and has two grown children and six grandchildren. |

Ben joined Utterback Dental Group, Inc. in 2000. He currently practices general dentistry with a special interest in Computer Assisted Dentistry (CADCAM); for which he has completed a number of continuing education courses to keep current on the latest computer assisted procedures and techniques.
A North Canton, Ohio native, Ben earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Union College in 1996 and his D.D.S. from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2000. Dr. Utterback’s love for Stark County and passion for dentistry brought him back to the area upon graduation. Over the past several years, Dr. Utterback has acquired many administrative roles of Utterback Dental Group, Inc. in addition to treating patients. However, his primary focus is to educate patients.
Dr. Utterback is currently a member of the Mount Union College Alumni Council, Stark County Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He is also an Alternate Delegate to the Ohio Dental Association and is currently the Vice President for the Portage Collaborative Montessori School Board. Ben and his wife reside in North Canton and have two young daughters. |

John joined the Utterback Dental Group, Inc. in 1993. He currently practices general dentistry at both the Alliance and Canton locations.
An Akron, Ohio native, Dr. Beres graduated from The University of Akron with a Bachelor's degree in natural science. After obtaining his D.D.S. from Case Western Reserve University in 1981, he began his dental career in North Canton, before joining Dr. Geoffrey Utterback's practice in Alliance.
Dr. Beres is currently a board member of the Ohio Dental Association, The American Dental Association and the Stark County Dental Society. He and his wife reside in Plain Township and have a daughter. |

Jim began practicing with Utterback Dental Group, Inc. in 2001. While he practices all areas of general dentistry, Dr. Brunie has a special interest in restorative and endodontic procedures.
An Alliance native, Jim graduated from Case Western Reserve University earning a B.S. in chemistry and from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1976. Upon graduation, he returned to Alliance and established a solo private practice where he practiced until joining the Utterback Dental Group.
Dr. Brunie is a member of the Ohio Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Stark County Dental Society. He has served as the head coach of the Alliance High School Varsity soccer team for 13 years. Dr. Brunie and his wife are the parents of five children. |

Jim became a member of the Utterback Dental Group team in 1992. He practices all areas of general dentistry but has a passion for helping his patients feel better about themselves, whether it be cosmetically, providing better function or simply alleviating pain.
A Youngstown area native, Dr. Lucido graduated from John Carroll University and is a 1985 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Lucido is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association and the Stark County Dental Society. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for St. Thomas Aquinas High School and is a member of the Masons, the Shriners and the Alliance Elks. James and his wife reside in Alliance and have three daughters. |
