Our offices provide general dentisty to patients of all ages. We offer services such as preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry to our patients. We also offer wisdom teeth surgery and root canal therapy in cases that do not require a specialist referral.
We believe that one of our strengths is educating our patients. Whether it be through doctor to patient dialogue, pamphlets located throughout the office, or through specific DVDs for certain treatments of dentistry, we believe that educating the patient is the cornerstone to maintaining a healthy smile.
An added feature of our practice is that there is always one of our dentists "on call" to address dental emergencies when the offices are closed in the evenings or on the weekends.
Dr. Geoffrey Utterback was graduated from Alliance High School, Mount Union College, and The Case-Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. He is member of the Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association, Stark County Dental Society, The Pierre Fauchard Academy, and Adjunct Faculty of Stark State University. A general dentist, Dr. Geoff, has a special interest in dental implants and implant surgery.
Dr. Benjamin Utterback joined the Utterback Dental Group in 2000. He grew up in Stark County and graduated from North Canton Hoover High School. He then graduated from Mount Union College and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2000. Dr. Utterback resides in North Canton with his wife, Torie, and two girls, Laurel (5) and Addyson (1). He spends his leisure time golfing, fishing with his girls, and doing yard work. He is also an avid Ohio State football fan. Dr. Utterback is currently a Board of Director of the Stark County Dental Society and a member of the Mount Union College Alumni Council, Stark County Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. John Beres graduated from Akron East High School and The University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in natural science. After obtaining his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1981, he began practicing in North Canton. In 1993, he joined Dr. Geoffrey Utterback's practice in Alliance. He now practices at both the Alliance and Canton offices of the Utterback Dental Group. Dr. Beres resides in Plain Township with his wife Angela and their daughter Hayley.
Dr. James V. Brunie, an Alliance native and graduate of Alliance High School, graduated from Case Western Reserve University earning a B.S. in chemistry and from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1976. Upon graduation, he returned to Alliance and established a solo private practice where he practiced until joining the Utterback Dental Group in 2001. Dr. Brunie and his wife Vera, a teacher of children with multiple handicaps in the Jackson Local school district, are the parents of five children. Dr. Brunie has for the past ten years served as the head boy's soccer coach at Alliance High School.
Dr. James A. Lucido is from the Youngstown area where he was a 1978 graduate of Lowellville High School. He attended John Carroll University in University Heights for his undergraduate studies, after which he graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1985. Dr. Lucido with his wife Carrie and their three daughters have resided in Alliance since 1988. Carrie owns a catering business, and their daughters are still active with their own educational pursuits. Dr. Lucido enjoys all forms of exercise, cooking, and spending time with his family. His passion in dentistry lies with helping his patients feel better about themselves, whether it be cosmetics, providing better function, or simply alleviating pain.
